i'm not a security expert, not a senior member ad the sdsc, but just a kid who had viewed too much times films like wargames and operation takedown.
at the age of 12... about 1994... my attention was captured by the fascinating world of internet, some years after i know ppl who define themselves "hackers" and i've get involved with them with script-kidding, cracking, irc wars, etc..
after reading books like "spaghetti hackers", "the art of deception", "takedown" and meeting the REAL italian elite at SMAU 98, TRIP 99, "L'hacker e il magistrato" and ppl who really like H\P and just not "to be someone" i've understood: "i'm not on the right way!". then i've start exploring x25s, phone lines, looking for "something" (too late, 'damn!)

i define myselfe a "black hat", i'm not ethical, i don't take any care... the dark side of the computer networks is too fascinating to get ignored.

at the end i think that too much power is in the hand of too much little people and world must know this.. but like you i'm not a super-hero and the only way we can change this shit is the digital way, knowledge belongs to the world.
